Ion behalf of the Board of Directors of Prime Media Network, and on my own behalf wish to heartily congratulate the Board, Management and staff of Uganda Airlines on acquiring two modern lonhaul Airbus 330neo aircraft.

As a land-locked country, Uganda heavily relies on a safe, regular and affordable air transport system for its national development. A strong, home-based airline is key in the effort to realize this strategy. As a country,we also anchor our hope on a system that is well equipped and positioned to withstand the predatory competition that we see in Africa’s aviation business today.

The two new aircraft will thus not only elevate our capacity to enhance our air connectivity on the continent and beyond, but also facilitate agriculture, trade and tourism.

Both the Uganda Vision 2040 and the national civil aviation Master Plan envisaged your re-establishment as necessary for stimulation of growth in the aviation sector in Uganda. The arrival of the new Aircraft could not have come at a better time than now when the country is reeling from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic. The hope of our people, the industry and the Prime Media network is that of a carrier that will keep our flag and spirits high.

We congratulate you and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.

Dr Warren Namara
Board Chairman, Prime Media Network
